A house in the country…
Earlier this year I was commissioned for a second shoot at Manor House Country Hotel, the first lockdown had curtailed the 2nd shoot indefinitely, well for 15 months anyway. The first shoot was a single day, this time it was a three-day shoot capturing both day-time and night-time images as well as drone footage.
Now when you plan a shoot like this it takes a comprehensive brief and open communication with the client. Good photography takes time, planning and cooperation. For instance, as a fully operational hotel, open to residents and running events, we had to arrange times for when I could have access to certain parts of the hotel like the restaurant, bar areas and leisure facilities.
The photography needed to be authentic and on brand while still evoking an emotional response. More so that ever-before images need to stand out in the insta world we live in.
